We had beautiful drifts of snow in the backyard in 1965
and made this snow cave/fort.

Anne got the mumps and had to stay home from
school for a week, but Wendy somehow avoided it,
despite crawling into the same bed.

Anne felt quite successful with her bluegills, despite
having to clean all of them. Daddy got a bass from the
deeper portion of the pond.
Anne was selected to be a patrol in 6th grade. You had to
have good grades for this honor, and then you got to wear
the special belt and help direct kids safely to and
from school.
Dogsled ride in Barrow, Alaska, 1969. This was the trip of
a lifetime, driving up the ALCAN highway to Fairbanks.
We flew to Barrow for an overnighter.
Being Hubbells, we had to camp at Lake Lebarge, of
Sam McGee fame.
And Mother later painted this view of the lake for
Uncle Johnny and Aunt Mary.
