Glen, Keith and Dick Rochester backpacked down the Grand Canyon again this year. This time they paid one of Keith's friends to fly them there in his small plane so they wouldn't be so tired starting out.

Anne created an herb garden on the apartment balcony.
Anne joined the choir at Knollwood UMC. It was a
small group, diminished even more at this rehearsal.
Shelton and Dottie added Jonathan Earl Hubbell to
our family on May 19th, 1982.
We hiked around Devil's Punchbowl on Memorial Day
weekend with the Sweitzers, including Karl and Vickie.
Devil's Punchbowl is where the San Andreas Fault has
thrown the rocks around in scenic disarray. It's
near Pearblossom north of LA.
We traveled to Cleveland for Laurie and Rudy's wedding
in August.
Glen combatted jet lag by working in the backyard
chopping firewood with Dad and Rudy.
