1983

We took possession of our first house on February 12th. It was at 9625 Hayvenhurst Ave in Sepulveda.

Here's the backyard, complete with hammock strung between the trees. The yard had two levels.

Lisa was born on September 2nd, 1983, at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys.

Glen finally gets to hold Lisa. It took 3 hours for her to be brought back to us. We should have been panicked but didn't know enough to realize that. She had fluid in her lungs. Dads were barely tolerated in the delivery room and they certainly weren't welcome to go chasing the baby into the nursery.

Her fingers were so tiny, compared to Anne's.

She and Glen bonded many evenings.

No wonder Lisa decided to major in Computer Science -- Glen read operating manuals to her as a baby.

Lisa was telling Dad all about her day.

Lisa imitates a seal.

Harry Adams baptised Lisa at Knollwood UMC in November. She wore Anne's baptism dress, carefully cleaned by Grandma Cooper.

Lisa frequently helped Anne with homework. She was working on a Master's degree in Engineering at CSUN.

Here's our little family.

We hung three stockings this year.

The Christmas Bunny entertains Lisa. It is now our tradition to put the Bunny on the top of the tree each year.

We traveled to Albuquerque to see the Hlavas and Kimmels at Christmas. This year, Shelton and Dot and Jonathan also joined the gathering.
