Pans make great percussion instruments. Perhaps
this foreshadows Lisa's career as a percussionist
in the high school band.
Lisa emptied this kitchen drawer and climbed in!
She also emptied the toy storage and climbed in there.
We put up this swing for Lisa but had to take it
right back down. I was standing in front of her,
pushing, when she suddenly decided to stand up and
get out. I caught her by the diaper as she
fell head first for the concrete of the patio.

Lisa was quite proud of herself. She had approached
Grandpa, tugged on the newspaper until he put it down,
and then crawled up into his lap.
While coming East for Roger's wedding, we also
visited with Karl and Vickie Sweitzer in Michigan.
Lisa liked floating in their pool.
We went to Yosemite with Deb and Keith, David and Jason. Glen, Deb and Keith hiked to the top of
Halfdome.

Glen bought a little canvas sailboat and trailer.
We took it out to Castaic Lake to try it out.
We traveled back east for Christmas.
Here we are in the Hubbell household.
Lisa was delighted with her Little People plane.
Not long after we bought it, we smashed the Vista into a woman making a left turn in front of us.
Glen was shaken but OK, Lisa had a couple scratches from hitting the belts in her carseat, and I
ended up very bruised with a probable broken sternum. Since I was 5 months pregnant, they didn't
take X-rays to decide -- just told me to take it very easy.
It took $12K to put the car back together, but we still have it and it now has ~150,000 miles on it.
The woman tried to sue us, but after several different lawyers talked to our insurance company's lawyers
and the witnesses, she finally had to give up. It was truly her fault for making a hazardous
turn into our path when we had the right-of-way.
