Camp Sequoia 2000

All Seven Coopers!

Alan helps Anne paint ceramics at the craft shop.

Roger takes a bath in the shower.

View of Sequoia Lake from the outdoor chapel.

Jenny decided to help Matt in the craft shop. She spent the afternoon sorting glazes and feeling important.

Glen windsurfing. No, there's not much wind on the lake. I told him to look like he was actually having to work on it.

Sarah and Roger are the gnomes in this large sequoia base.

I hiked up to a viewpoint above the lake for this picture.

Jenny working on a ceramic project.

The leopard lilies were beautiful this year.

The people who aren't Coopers are Leiers, a very nice family from Cupertino (near San Jose) that we enjoy seeing every year. Not pictured is the mom, Janice, who was busy packing when I snapped this.

Lisa has been enjoying hiking and I think this shot captures that spirit.

We used the stroller as a portable crib for Alan. Here, both boys are asleep on the floor of the dining hall while we wait for dinner.

Roger made a friend of Drew who is playing pingpong with him here. Note the orange ball in flight.

Roger also met someone his own age, Kyle. Here they are inside the play place in the nursery.

Roger and Kyle also liked the riding toys in the nursery.

Roger and Lisa are working on the ceramic ornaments Lisa made in class this year. She brought them along and had Roger paint them.

Roger liked the big trees, but he was even more excited by the 'S's on the fences.

Roger also liked running through this large sequoia and surprising us from the other side.

Sarah, Roger and Lisa spend more time at the craft shop. Since acrylic paint is permanent, we purchased a plain T-shirt for Roger to wear as a smock. They were supposed to be for tie-dye and decorating.

Glen also got out on the lake in this little sunfish.

Glen won these sand toys at bingo.

I caught Sarah looking very elegant, or something. She made a face after I snapped this.

Mustang Clover -- aka Ruby-Throated Gilia

Pussypaws

Nootka Rose

Okay, this isn't Sequoia, but it was on the final roll of film. Roger was entertaining Alan very successfully.
