Lisa again won a position to compete on the state level, this time in two categories --
business communications and computers. These are written tests; some of the other kids
compete by giving speeches. FBLA showcases a variety of business skills.
The competition is in San Jose this year.

And here are the results of the state competition.
Lisa came in 8th in both of her categories.
Alan managed to climb onto the piano bench, and then
from there to the keys.
Lisa's Musical Show Production class put on another show
that they titled "That was Then, This is Now." Lisa played
a photographer at a high school reunion.

Sarah's football team that she and her friend Maggie have
organized. They practice at least twice each week and
play intramural games.

allowed her to compete on the county level.
Jenny was surprised to receive this note in person
from the vice-principal of her school.

Roger got a BLUE bike for his birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Cooper.
Sarah helped him pick it out and then she assembled it.
Then we went for a walk to let Roger try it out.

Alan is learning to swing like his brother!
Sarah is 16! She celebrated at the park with some friends and football.
Jenny has truly learned how to make music with her clarinet. This is the
end-of-year concert at school.
Sarah took dance this year instead of PE. She liked it alot, and her teacher
encouraged her to try out for the JV dance team. She made the team, after just
the one year of dance class. Her teacher thinks she has a lot of potential and
natural talent.
