Summer 2002

Y-camp at Sequoia Lake

Lisa made this cake for Glen's birthday. Note the ";" at the end, a programming syntax to signify the end of the statement.

For Father's Day, we all went to West Coast Pizza. I had to embarrass my family by taking a picture; we so rarely all go out together now.

Alan discovered that there were still credits on the pinball machine, so Glen tried it out.

I made appointments for teeth cleaning for all of us, including Roger this year. He was not happy. These pictures were taken AFTER Dr. Topper had looked briefly at his teeth while I held him down. Roger was throwing pillows around the waiting room and hiding in the sofa, much to the amusement of Maria, the receptionist.

Roger painted this without any help or guidance! Can you find all the letters of his name? June, 2002

Our ten-foot pool fits perfectly under the 10-foot gazebo!

Jenny likes taking the boys for a ride.

Alan enjoys the sand in my forest.

Alan fell asleep in the middle of his toys.

We decided to replace the 20-year-old wooden walkway along the side of the house. Here are some of the old boards. It wasn't pressure-treated lumber, so it rotted away in spots.

And here is Glen nailing down some of the new planks.

Glen gets some help.

Lisa hiked up to Rite-Aid for ice cream cones with Jenny, Roger and Alan. She took this picture.

Lisa also captured Alan hiding from the camera.

We found a new-to-us park, Oak Canyon in Agoura, just 20 minutes from home.

We found this sideways tree on our hike through the park.

Jenny crosses Medea Creek which runs through Oak Canyon year round.

Roger crosses Medea Creek.

A lovely site for a picnic.

Jenny hosted a sleepover in the backyard with some of her friends.

Her guests included Emily and Sarah McGreevy, Becky and Bree Sobel, and Mandy.

Alan helped me reorganize the pantry cabinet.

Alan decided to dismantle the rose he had brought in.

Alan and Roger are race cars, zooming around the living room!

Sarah is the pit stop where Roger is getting his tires fixed.

Now Alan needs his horn checked.

Oh no! They crashed!

Alan goes western.

Lisa and Jenn (friend and roommate for 2002-2003) attended the big Anime Convention in Long Beach.

While there, Lisa crossed light sabers with Darth Vader.

Part of the fun of the convention is the costumes. Lisa didn't know these children; she just thought their costumes were cute.

More costumes.
