Halloween 2004

We got our pumpkins at Valley Farms, as is traditional for us.

Alan picked a lumina blanca to make a ghost jack-'o-lantern.

Jenny debates if this one is THE one.

We had a small Halloween party on Sunday, October 24th. Sarah decided to come home for the event.

John and Molly both came in costume, although I missed taking a picture while John was wearing his poofy black wig.

Roger likes being a Ninja Turtle.

Sarah is Alice in Wonderland.

Anne is a pirate wench to fit this year's theme. We were inspired by the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' movie to try something different.

Glen is a very laid-back pirate. He joined Danny and Alan in deciding against dressing up for the party. Molly had even brought along Danny's dragon costume, but he really didn't want to model it for us.

Alan and Danny played games at nickjr.com while the rest of us played Apples-to-Apples.

Sarah and Roger made a winning team.

Kerry and Marcus. This was Marcus's first time playing the game, but I bet it won't be the last.

After pizza, Emily volunteered to call some Bingo for us.

Roger loves Bingo.

Halloween Preparation:

Carving pumpkins with Kurt. Deb sorted pumpkin seeds and Keith rested after a long day with the band.

Here are the finished results. Alan's is a parrot and mine is flames to go underneath anything worth burning up. Roger wanted to show both back and front of his pumpkin which sports 3 eyes. It's a monster.

Jenny and Glen are tying the rigging together for the pirate ship.

The sinking pirate ship.

Roger the shark attacks the pirate captain!

Sharks are circling the wreck.

Glen rested one wheel of the Vista on the other end of the plank and this end stuck out for fiendish walking.

Both Alan and Roger had to test the plank.

Halloween night: Pirates Ahoy!

Ghosts inhabited one side of the yard.

Alan is the purple cat.

Roger's friends Brandon and Samantha joined him for trick-or-treating. Little brothers Alan, Ryan, and Jonathan went along, too.

Roger, Brandon, and Ryan line up to jump off the plank.

Jenny's friends Jessica and Kristen came over and made her walk the plank.

The cave where the treasure chest was hidden.

And here's Anne, doling out pirate treasure and warning the recipients to Beware the Curse!

Alan's parrot pumpkin.

The peanut gallery of pirates, Keith, Glen, and Kurt being attacked by Roger the Shark.

Tricksters Walk the Plank. Ye Be Warned!
