Alan picked two pumpkins, one for him and one for his
doll, Junior. This is Junior's.

We did the pirate theme again, with the sinking ship
and sharks. The orange pumpkin is off to the side and
we noticed some people posing in front of it for
pictures.
Alan decided to be a pirate instead of an elephant.
And of course I had to be a pirate, grudgingly
giving away my treasure while sitting on the 'beach', aka
a sand-colored rug. ARGHHHH!
Torches behind the rocks implied wreckers, luring the
ships to break up on the rocks.
The boys had a pretty good time trick-or-treating with Jenny and some of her friends. Kristen had taken her nephew Hayden, a very cute 3-year-old pirate. And Glen went for the hike, too, in case the boys wanted to quit earlier than Jenny. Actually, the girls weren't trick-or-treating, just hiking around with the little guys. Jenny could barely be talked into donning a sword as a costume. She was pretty tired after a grueling band weekend at the Mt. Carmel festival and then Disneyland. We ended up with 227 trick-or-treaters.
Lisa dressed up as Cleo, an anime character, with this
costume she made herself. Several people at her office wore
costumes, enough that they had a contest. Unfortunately,
Lisa didn't win, although we think she clearly should have!
Sarah got to wear her costume several times, including
parties and work. She's Little Red Riding Hood.
The finishing touch to her costume, her basket, which
she filled with candy and did reverse trick-or-treating.
A view of the street Sarah lives on, Del Playa, on
Halloween night. Don't even think about driving down it.
