Mother was totally surprised to be presented with a "Hall of Fame"
award.
And here are the other recipients.
Thursday evening, we drove to the Hubbell House and then took
a short hayride to the restaurant.
Abuelitas was the dinner spot for the Hubbells Thursday night.
We came in time to be in the group photo, slated to be taken
after dinner.
Paul and Alison Kotula.
Heather and her family.
Roger shows Granddaddy his gameboy game while we wait for
dinner to wrap up and the picture shoot to happen.
Wendy gives Heather a quick back rub for stress. Heather has had
a lot to deal with in coordinating details for the reunion and
having Alison visit the hospital for dehydration.
Shelton's family poses outside the restaurant with singer Richard
Hubbell.
There were a number of photographers besides the official one, typical
for a Hubbell gathering.
A portion of the group.
Grandmother Margie with Alison.
On Saturday, some of us met at the Church Street Cafe in Old Town
for lunch. Clockwise, starting with purple: Aunt Mary,
Dad, Mother, Aunt Jean, Bob, Margie, Kitty, Paul, Wendy,
Anne, with Don Gilmore and Glenn sitting on the wall behind.
I was seated by this beautiful hibiscus, complete with bees.
Margie and Kitty.
Glen liked posing with both Wendy and me.
Shelton and Dottie surprised Lisa with
a graduation gift.
Roger was happy to have enough pickles.
The obligatory watermelon-seed-spitting contest.
The big guys, Shelton, Glen, and Steve, did cannonballs in the hotel pool.
Glen exercised by lifting people, like Alan (and Wendy and me and Jenny).
We took over the jacuzzi periodically.
The boys were pretty wrinkled by the time we called it quits.
Vanessa is all dressed for dinner.
We decided to go to Scarpas, an Italian place, instead
of the gala banquet.
Showing Dad the home-made trunk.
Time to say goodbye.
