Lisa's saga

Our cherry tree may be a cherry-plum hybrid instead.

Here's the cut fruit from the tree. The pit looks more like a small plum pit, but the flesh looks cherry-like.

Cooling off...

Lisa just purchased her first car, a brand-new 2005 Nissan Sentra.

Sarah makes her famous guacamole for Lisa's going-away party.

The adults present included Sharon Walsh, Cheryl and David Hankins, and John and Molly McGreevy.

Deb, Keith, and Kurt stopped by.

Lindz and Ginny.

Cleaning the windshield before hitting the road, Monday, August 1st.

We drove both the van and Lisa's car to Pacoima to load the ABF truck with her stuff that was being shipped. She had reserved the minimum space of 5 linear feet at the front of the truck. Then we put up the bulkhead and the company would use the rest of the truck for freight shipment. Lisa and her friend Sarah then headed east on the 210 freeway while Glen and I drove the van home.

Jenny finally got her fish! The yellow one is named Molly in honor of Molly McGreevy's help in selection and because it's a Molly. The other two are Red Plattes. The red one's name is Pyro and the other is Sunset.

Danny McGreevy joined Roger, Alan, and Jenny in the pool one hot day.

This catepillar, masquerading as a stick, was found on the pepper tree.

Roger, Alan, and I met Glen for lunch at Poindexter Park, walking distance from his office.

We decided to take the old face off the garage door and replace it with new paneling before painting everything.

The boys help paint some of the replacement boards with primer.

Jenny waits patiently(?) on the field with the rest of the band. They performed the first movement of their field show for their families at the end of band camp. Jenny has a bag of ice on her head to cool off.

Alan entertained a couple of other little band siblings with his coloring materials and Oriental Trading Company catalogs.

First performance with an audience (families).
