Albuquerque Aquarium

The kids went to the Albuquerque Aquarium on Monday, July 4th while Glen and I ran some errands. We had offered to drop Wesley at the airport since his flight left significantly later than his parents' flight and it would be more fun to go out to lunch with cousins than roam the airport alone. We also stopped at the Atomic Museum to browse the gift shop and acquire a DVD of early nuclear tests and explosions. Then we had to buy our share of the potluck fireworks and something to grill for dinner.

They had a shrimp boat to view.

The boys took turns at the helm of this mock boat.

The shark tank.

Sharks and rays.

A puffer fish.

To my surprise, these seahorses are blue.

The jellyfish are spectacular.

There were other things at this park besides the water creatures. This miniature train was neat.

There was also a butterfly garden.

Both guys had hats now, Roger's from the zoo, and Alan's from the aquarium.

Sarah let Alan try out her camera.

The children's fantasy garden was designed to make you feel the size of an ant.

So Roger is riding one.

They took this picture just for me, a large pine cone.
