We had seen these dinosaurs from the road last year, so this time
we decided to stop in and see them up close.
This place is a combination of dinosaur stuff, petrified wood,
and Anasazi culture. They put models of dinosaurs out by
the petrified logs.
They had a playground area with climbable models.
The sandbox in the middle of the sandy playground amused us.
This mock bone-finding set-up, complete with brushes, was a
nice touch.
The boys posed by the T-rex until it moved. Then we couldn't get
them anywhere near it again.
Alan pressed out a memento penny.
The reconstructed house was neat.
The best part, though, was the very friendly guy who
broke open our geodes for us. We paid for 5 of them and then
he gave Alan another one, because he felt bad that Alan's choice
hadn't been as pretty inside as Roger's.
