Shooting with David Sweitzer

Glen and I left the boys with Jenny and Sarah for a short get-away to Ridgecrest, home to David and Beth Sweitzer. The excuse was a baby shower for Beth, but mostly it was fun to have an adult weekend with friends. Keith treated us all to a nice steak dinner that night, the guys went shooting in the desert, and on Sunday, we drove up past Lone Pine to see the Bristlecone pines.

Jenny was willing to take on the boys in order for us to have a special trip, but it worked out even better that Sarah was able to come home for Labor Day weekend to share the responsibility. And then the McGreevys helped make it a very fun time for them by hosting a sleepover. Danny, Roger and Alan were really looking forward to that. And they even treated the group to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch on Sunday!

David Sweitzer took Keith, Kurt, Glen and a friend of his, Steve, out shooting while the women were attending the baby shower.

The guns were all David's. He did quite well in the Marines and knows exactly how to handle the weapons.

Glen's turn.

The targets included empty propane tanks and expired, but not empty, cans of eggnog.

They had so much fun, they forgot to stop for lunch!
