Here's the resulting poster. Alan's self-portrait is a
cross-section of a store (note the lights, ceiling, and sky)
where Alan is buying a video game. His family portrait
turned into more of a map, complete with a key. The "Lords of
Power" book is the one he's writing himself.
Roger got to bring home Bandit, coincidentally on his birthday.
Bandit was supposed to help him fill the estimating jar and
optionally keep a journal over the weekend. Roger has his
own Bandit, so the 'twins' got to play with each other.
Roger qualified for the Principal's Math Club by completing
a test of 75 addition problems in under 3 minutes!
Lisa breezed through Moorpark enroute to a long weekend
with friends at UCSB. We all seven had lunch together
before dropping Lisa off at her friends' place and taking
Sarah back to her apartment. Lisa and Roger tried the
DDR game.
Sarah.
Sarah switched roommates and decor. She now shares a room
with Bianca, but is still in the same apartment. Her new
tapestry on the ceiling has sequins which twinkle like
stars.
Alan buried himself while getting clean for Easter and
a visit from Sarah.
Alan models the bunny hat he made at school.
Traditional egg-dying.
Jenny made sure we had an egg for Lisa.
The finished eggs in Sarah's basket.
We did our official Easter dinner on Saturday to make it
easier to enjoy it with Sarah.
Then we attempted to drive Sarah back to Isla Vista on
Sunday. The boys shared the back seat of the Vista.
We made it as far as Carpinteria before we got a flat tire.
Fortunately, we made it to the McDonald's so I could order
dinner while Glen changed the tire. It turned out that
the spare was flat, too, so he had to take it across the
street to a service station and fill it. To spare us from
driving farther on the spare, Sarah's friend Chris drove
down to pick her up and get her back to school.
Alan and his friend Eric 'camped' in the yard.
They played games in the tent.
And we even spotted some wildlife!

Roger mastered this bubble trick at Paint Pals. This clever
activity is created by a ring-shaped dish with soapy water and
a hula-hoop on strings and a pulley that serves as the bubble wand.
Sarah's 21st birthday. Her real celebration would be with her
friends in Isla Vista, but we had a small celebration here
with her the weekend before.

we spotted these planes going overhead on Memorial Day.
Putting down grass seed in hopes of improving the side lawn.
We dug up the old one along with several bushes and stumps.
Alan created a game and was happy Sarah tried it out with him.
Sarah's friend, Chris, had driven Sarah home for the day, and
he obligingly shot a few hoops with Roger before we all
went to the McGreevy's house for a Memorial Day picnic.
Elephant Rock and a park are adjacent to the McGreevy's house,
so we took an after-dinner walk.
