Lisa once again treated us to HuHots, the Mongolian Barbeque
place.
Then off to the Science Center of Iowa, with lots of
hands-on exhibits and activities.
Roger discovers the power of a pulley.
Toilets are an ingenious invention.
You could arrange the sand and gravel in this creek to
study erosion.

This copperhead reminded me of Sleepy Creek.
A green screen demonstration. Will Roger predict the weather?
Sarah got one bubble to form. The liquid seemed a little thin.
Sarah is bundling up an 'egg' to try the egg drop.
Alan tried one, too. The eggs are designed to give an
impact rating from 1-10, 10 meaning a real egg would have
been smashed to smithereens. Lisa succeeded in getting a 4,
but most of us rated 10s. You can click
here for the
movie clip of an impact, but be warned, the file is 1.6 Megabytes.
The boys' favorite activity was the Lego car race. You start
by building a car...
And then you race down a ramp against 3 other contenders.

Roger winning a race (3.6M) and
here for Alan's win (2.9M).
