There were nests in this sign at one of the service plazas.
Arriving at the KOA, Roger really wanted to play minigolf.
Since they didn't have any colored balls available (they must
have been in the collector at the end of the course), the
woman at the camp counter drew faces on the balls so we could tell
whose was who's.
And I decided to join the boys playing.
The KOA also had a nice playground.
There was a pool, too, that we used, but I didn't take
pictures.
Then back to the turnpike in the morning. I must have
thrown at least $30 at these booths in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.
This McDonalds is actually in the middle of the turnpike, right near
the tollbooths.
I can't believe I actually drove the Dan Ryan Expressway.
It, of course, was being worked on.
For a time, our lane was diverted to the 'wrong' side.
This is as much of Chicago as we saw. Our main intent was
to drive through and arrive safely in Wisconsin.
The Lake Forest Oasis is a service plaza that arches over the
road, with parking on either end for the two directions.
