We decided to check out the migrating Monarchs in
Isla Vista.

There were pretty nasturtiums, too!

We got killing frost in January. Our vegetation
isn't used to the cold, so some people lost bushes
or even trees, particularly the citrus growers. Ours
did fine because the backyard is so sheltered.


Jenny's friends took her shopping for a prom dress.
Once they decided on one, she and Glen had to go back
for it (all the way to the Northridge mall) that evening, since none of the kids had a way to pay for it.
