Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas!

Traditional Christmas Pizza ingredients.

Sarah and chris gave Alan this penguin which he named Meme.

Meme tries on Chris's hat.

Lisa made us a new advent calendar to memorialize our California adventure, now that we're planning to move back east.

I had to get this Pi plate for Sarah!

Sarah worked hard to finish making a 49ers blanket for Chris.

She embroidered his last name on it.

And yes, he liked it.

Alan got science books from Aunt Wendy and Uncle Steve.

Jenny can use this dragon to store stuff in her dorm room. Aunt Wendy strikes again.

Muppet stickers for Lisa from the McGreevys. That's Lisa's friend Vicki sitting on the bench.

The boys decided Chris needed some nerf guns.

Alan made targets for the nerf shooters.

Danny and Roger decided to pose as the Statue of Liberty.

Twister is once again very popular.

A game of Sorry!

Roger won.

Roger lured Granddaddy outside for a game of catch with his new flat ball.

Alan assembles the gingerbread house. (kit from Costco)

Granddaddy takes a turn operating Alan's skill crane. Alan engineered this whole thing to mimic the ones you see in pizza parlors or arcades. He's providing the interior motion in response to what Granddaddy does with the lever, and eventually some candy will come down the chute.

Mother and Dad provide a big birthday bash to celebrate a whole year's worth of birthdays.

This diffraction candle holder for Jenny is mesmerizing.

Lisa found a beautiful coffee table book of images from the Hubbell Space Telescope. She brought it with her from Des Moines for her Grandparents.

Alan had a small meltdown, so Sarah took him upstairs where they found the beeswax candle kit. Alan made several candles and then we had to try them out.
