Alan's Birthday

Jenny's Birthday

Alan tried creating a miniature snow scene.

Sure enough, the crystals did their thing.

Winter Concert by the MHS bands. Jenny is playing clarinet just a few people in from the left side.

Granddaddy always spends his free time writing Christmas cards. He sends out around 300 international ones.

Granddaddy and boys next to the giant (not quite yet) sequoia tree.

Visiting Sarah's apartment. Grandmother and Granddaddy came along to take a look at her place.

Alan communes with Boulder.

We decided to check out the migrating Monarchs in Isla Vista.

Yes, there really were some visible. Look for the orange flashes.

They were hanging from the trees in bunches.

No, those aren't leaves.

There were pretty nasturtiums, too!

And violets.

We got killing frost in January. Our vegetation isn't used to the cold, so some people lost bushes or even trees, particularly the citrus growers. Ours did fine because the backyard is so sheltered.

Jenny's friends took her shopping for a prom dress. Once they decided on one, she and Glen had to go back for it (all the way to the Northridge mall) that evening, since none of the kids had a way to pay for it.

Alan walks up to collect his Peach Hill Posse award for Honesty.

2 students from each class are chosen each month to represent that month's core virtue.
