between Ventura and Santa Barbara.
There are oil 'grasshoppers' and other related equipment
along the road. The Ventura Anticline formation contains
a lot of oil. Platforms are visible offshore (but not
in this picture!).
This sign in Goleta amused us.
And on the return trip through Saticoy we glimpsed
the Santa Clara River. Not too much water as yet, but
more than during the summer and fall.
