Trip to Maryland

Mother ended up in the hospital in mid-October. So we spent a weekend zipping to Maryland to see her. We brought the kids' Halloween costumes along so they could model them for Grandmommy. Here she's being visited by the Grim Reaper, aka Roger the Necromancer.

We drove Dad's Honda (now with Ohio plates).

We had a great Chinese dinner with Wendy, Steve, and Vanessa.

Steve's air hockey table is always a hit.

Wendy had an open-house scheduled this weekend, so her living room became a boutique.

Roger got a kick out of Aunt Wendy's latest item, hoops for non-pierced ears.

Vanessa is adding to her reading log, and entertaining Aunt Anne.

We headed home via Western Maryland and West Virginia, just do something other than the PA turnpike this time.

The fall colors were spectacular.

We crossed the Eastern Continental Divide.

And entered West Virginia.

Maybe sometime we should investigate Coopers Rock.

And we drove back into Brecksville just in time for a beautiful sunset.

I went back in mid-November to stay with Mother for a week when she came home to her villa from the health care center.

We had fun getting out nice place settings and having dinner with Wendy, Steve, and Vanessa.

Vanessa and I enjoyed playing with Wendy's Fimo.
