Here's Chris, in line to take his turn marching
across the stage.
Sarah and Chris with Chris's parents, Oscar and Delores.
Chris and several other students worked on this project.
It's an Engineers Without Borders project to help ensure
potable water in less accessible areas. Chris later
went to a small town in Peru to help implement the project. Their display board was hung on the wall in
the engineering building because it was chosen for 'Best
Technical Presentation' in his class.
On our way to dinner, we saw this sign. Gas prices are
always high in the Santa Barbara area, but this seemed
notable.
Oscar invited us to join the family for a celebratory
dinner at ???.
I'm told this is a subset of the extended family.
They are a very supportive and friendly group.
After dinner, we walked over to the Santa Barbara Pier.
Chris's cousin Matthias was the sole representative
of the younger set.
