Albuquerque

We arrive at 4000 Smith Street in Albuquerque...

home to Margie and Paul Hlava, our gracious hosts for an overnight stay. Actually, Margie arrived pretty late from a business trip, so Paul and his mom were our hosts for a delicious grilled dinner on the patio. If we hadn't been set back by a day by losing the Astro, we would have missed Margie altogether, so I was pleased to have that silver lining.

Paul is a wonderful host, whether dinner or breakfast.

The kitchen has new cabinets, complete with different mineral knobs.

Margie took us on a tour in the morning of their newly landscaped yard. The patio is beautifully functional, as we can attest from the night before.

The supporting columns are decorated with carvings.

The front patio has a concrete table.

Paul continues to feed a variety of birds.

Margie now has a lot of raised planters with vegetables and herbs.

The grass has been replaced with crushed nutshells to reduce watering requirements.

On our way out of town, we stopped by Margie's new office space for a tour. She and Jay (other person in photo) just moved their company to new digs a few months ago.

They have a variety of awards and plaques on the entry wall.

This is a nice one.

And this is one of their favorites for 'hamming it up' at a convention.

Margie's desk.

Alison's desk. Grandma Margie is ready anytime Alison stops by.

View from Margie's office. Jenny, Roger, and Alan are taking a break on the grass while Glen and I get the tour.
