Snow!

Snow skitters across the road.

Glen, Jenny, and Roger at the bottom of the backyard hill/ravine.

The creek is still flowing under the snow.

We hiked on the creek, a few days before Christmas.

After we got enough snow in mid-January, Glen made a tubing/sled run partway down our hill. He'd worked on clearing logs and saplings in October, just to be ready.

They even got me to try the sled run.

I ended up with a face full of cold snow.

View out the front window.

It's snowing!

See the moon?

Sunrise.

The snow just got deeper on the deck.

More snow fell on January 28th, closing school just for Alan's birthday. What a present!

Look closely -- you can see 3 guys pushing snowblowers, the IN thing to do this morning.

Roger made a good snow angel.

A broken icicle becomes a gun in Roger's hands.

Later in the day we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's to help clear their walkway and have a birthday Chinese take-out dinner with them. Alan particularly wanted orange chicken.

Roger tried out the sledding on the back steps from their deck.

The house was perfectly lit by the morning sun.

I couldn't decide which I liked better, so you get two pics.

Roger's footsteps from walking to the bus stop.

One last sledding session on February 6th before the mountains of snow began to melt. The moon was coming out before we called it quits.

It snowed again on February 11th. Click here to watch it come down. (caution: 5MB).
