Roger heads out to the bus for the first day of Middle School.

Alan works on an animated music video to "It's Christmas at Ground Zero" by Weird Al in Scratch.

Alan's dice program in Scratch.

Glen made a tapering strip of wood to augment the astragal on the back double doors to close the 1/2" gap that was letting in a lot of cold air in winter.

The doe and fawn (now a teenager) that we saw in the yard in May.

Aunt Laurie did a send-off get-together for Steph and Jenny before they both headed off to college.

Jenny's ready to catch her plane to CA.

Alan made a cake, complete with homemade butter-cream orange-flavored icing, for Grandma for her birthday.

This large rat snake visited our yard, near the swings.

Glen got a tape measure and estimated the snake's length at around 3.5 feet.

Echo Hills Clambake. Roger enjoyed the hayrides.

And the cakewalk.

And the bean bag toss.

Alan spent the first part of the event reading Dungeon Mastering for Dummies. He really wants to try D&D.

Alan made some paper mache creations, such as this shield, and a sword and a dagger, that he planned to use for Halloween.

Woodpecker in the front trees.

Woodpecker beating on the house. Whenever he starts doing this, I bang on the window or step outside to shoo him off. But first, I took this picture!

Frost on the leaves -- it's getting closer to Winter.

Alan made a special Fall hat.

We even used PI to figure out the diameter of his head by measuring the circumference.

Laurie and Rudy hosted Thanksgiving.
