It was also just right for climbing the tree. Both Roger and Alan
are there.
Mother took us out to Wendy's (fast food - not sister!).
Followed by dessert at Bruster's Real Ice Cream.
Saturday we went to the Burtonsville Day Festival where
Wendy and Steve had their tatting booth set up.
Mother enjoyed strolling around and doing a bit of shopping.
We did get rained out eventually, but we managed. Thank goodness
Wendy and Steve have a nice-sized canopy.
Burtonsville is very close to their home, so Vanessa came along.
She and a friend have a cozy retreat under the table.
We went directly to Wendy and Steve's after they packed up
their booth and wares. MacBeth put in a rare appearance.
And then promptly escaped.
We had pizza, a perennial favorite.
Apples to Apples.
Mother collected a few green cards.
So did Wendy.
Roger with his special double balloon from the Festival.
Alan pretends to rotate gravity 90 degrees. He taped the
balloon and string to the walls and then stretched out
on the floor as if standing.
Time to leave. We took the Subaru with us back to Ohio.
Mother wanted us to get some use out of it, rather than have
it continue to sit in her garage with the battery going dead.
It had gone an entire year without refueling.
We are thrilled to have a 4WD car, especially when it snows.
