We celebrated Jenny's birthday while she was here for
her Spring Break in March.
Thanks to 'fuel perks' and a good coupon deal, we had
enough points to get 30 gallons of free gas!
The boys participated in the Echo Hills Easter Egg Hunt,
held at the neighborhood playground.
I started seedlings indoors.
I just liked the way the spray was illuminated by the
setting sun coming in the kitchen window.
I went to Maryland in early May to see Mother. While far from
well, Mother did enjoy cooking Philly cheese wraps for
lunch for us.
We celebrated Mom & Dad's 60th wedding anniversary (May 14th)
at Laurie & Rudy's.
Alan really enjoyed going to the Golden Corral, courtesy
of the Blatniks. He said it should be renamed 'Heaven',
despite eating too much and losing it. He was very impressed
with this strawberry.
Alan was given this white pine seedling for Arbor Day
at school.
The Olsens invited us to join them for a Memorial Day
picnic at their place.
While the adults enjoyed sitting out on the deck, the kids
preferred being inside.
We had a lengthy blackout (5+ hours) on May 25th. It was fun
to get out the camping lanterns and play the lazer board game.
The boys tried out their Easter bubble prizes.
The big bubble maker really works!
The 3rd graders at Highland had a luau party at the
end of the school year.
Popsicles were a hit.
Echo Hills has a bonfire to celebrate the end of the school
year. Kids are invited to bring their school papers and
burn them.
Meanwhile, Roger enjoyed playing some volleyball. Alan
enjoyed the new sand in the volleyball court, too.
Roger tries to cook a smore (after the papers had burned
down).
Alan, too!
