Sarah got her own Kindergarten class to teach for the whole year.

Being silly.

Glen ordered spray foam to insulate around the sill in the basement to minimize cold drafts. We suited up to avoid breathing the stuff while applying it.

Deer in the backyard.

Jenny was here for a visit before the start of Fall Quarter.

We scouted a potential sledding venue near Kendall Lake.

We hiked to the top of an adjacent hill and looked back towards the parking lot and restrooms.

We spotted several woolly catepillars.

Celebrating Grandma's birthday.

Alan watches a little snake by our driveway.

We went up to the Cottage to admire the new floor.

Grandpa tosses a frisbee with Roger.

This tenacious tree is growing by the water's edge.

L.I.S.A. sent a box of books.

Dungeons and Dragons night. We added another family, the Dalesios with Emery, another 7th grader, and Everett, a fellow 5th-grader.

This was Alan's first time DM'ing (being Dungeon Master).

The adults played Settlers of Catan while the kids enjoyed video games.

It started snowing that evening, big beautiful flakes, first good snow of the season on November 5th.

Glen contrived a gutter cleaner to ease my fears of having him up so high on a ladder.

5 deer ambled through the white pines in front. I caught the last couple with my camera.

Alan shows off his 'battle scars' from appendicitis. Thankfully, we figured out why his stomach hurt before the appendix ruptured. He spent 24 hours at the hospital on November 16-17. He ended up with 3 tiny incisions.
