One of the things they found was this ~1.5-inch crayfish.
Another team found this large crayfish (3 inches?).
The ranger discussed what they were finding. The list included
a salamander, cranefly larvae, and water skeeters, in addition
to several crayfish.
After releasing all the creatures back to the water, the class
hiked back up the hill to McDonald's for lunch. They lucked out --
it didn't rain until around 1/2 hour after they got back to
school.
