We spotted a small toad (frog?) in the leaves and then saw him
appear to change color when he moved to a rock.
A hike to the waterfall downstream.
Alan demos his potholder loom.
Echo Hills swim lake. Roger tries out the special ball Sarah and Chris gave him.
Alan fishes for minnows.
He nabbed one!
Actually, he got more than one. We collected them in the bucket until time to,
leave, at which point they were released.
Chris tries his luck with a net. He is the picture of patience.
We cooked pizza on the grill.
Alan chose to use the equivalent funds to buy Legos instead of going to
Cedar Point. He and I don't enjoy rollercoasters, so I was pretty happy
to make this deal, and so was he.
Cleveland skyline as seen from Edgewater park.
Looking the opposite direction, a set of picturesque old docks.
Edgewater Beach
Chris had to stick his feet in Lake Erie. This was his first visit to
one of the Great Lakes.

We drove past Grandma (Sarah/Sadie) Fowle's home on West Blvd.
Westside Market, an historic and vibrant place.
Sarah and Chris were disappointed at not getting some of Steve's Gyros, as
featured on Man vs. Food. The line was just too long (over an hour wait).
They treated all of us to other special goodies, though, and we found a
convenient bench on which to sit while consuming them.
Hamburgers for dinner.
After doing a couple of road trips (see above links to Michigan and Pittsburgh),
we did a pizza dinner with grandparents before Sarah and Chris had to head home.
Roger gets a picture with Sarah and Chris, too.
Smores for dessert!
