
On Monday, before heading to the airport, Mother and I toured
Beehive House, Brigham Young's house which did double-duty as the Governor's Mansion
in the 1800's.

Brigham Young was a carpenter by trade. This is his toolchest and in the
early days of settling Utah he used these tools.
Note the bees in this woodwork that decorated one of the doorways.

Kitchen. Oddly enough, it was in the house. Initially, it had been outdoors, but
was incorporated into the building when the addition was put on in the 1880's.
