Hubbell Family Reunion

Thursday's expedition was to 'This is The Place', a historical park featuring buildings of the pioneer era and costumed re-enactors.

Jim and Mary Ann had reserved the Pack Home for our Hubbell group.

Katy and Eric were instrumental in fixing and serving a lunch buffet. Katy made Funeral Potatoes, a traditional dish prepared by neighbors to help feed families during crisis moments such as a funeral. They're very rich and very tasty.

The John Pack family: an intriguing representation of a polygamist family.

The leadership of THFHS was officially turned over to Pete.

We rode the train around to get a feel for what all was in the park.

Handcarts used by some pioneers who couldn't afford the larger wagons and the oxen to pull them.

The ship was a bit of a surprise. It was here to represent the pioneers who came via ship around South America and then overland from the west.

Apparently Brecksville doesn't have the only Bees!

Brigham Young farmhouse.

One of the larger houses.

The John Gardiner home, just 13'x22'.

Inside the cabin.

The school.

Our own reenactors, aka Alison and Rhys.
