Towpath Hikes

We hiked through Beaver Marsh on September 9th.

We decided to try a path towards the river. It turned out to parallel the river, so we eventually gave up and turned around. Nice exploration, though.

The river is visible from a section of the towpath, though.

There's a white goose (escapee?) who routinely consorts with the wild ones.

At least 7 turtles lazing in the sun.

October 14th -- towpath from the Brecksville Station north under the Route 82 bridge.

Pedestrian bridge over the canal.

Mudcatcher dam to keep the incoming creek from dumping too much silt in the canal.

October 21st -- section of towpath right next to the river, but also the sewage treatment plant.

The Buckeye Trail intersects the towpath at the trailhead.
