Roger went with the entire 8th-grade class from his school to Gettysburg and DC in May.
They left very early Tuesday morning, in the rain.
This group, including Roger, was all on Bus 3. There were 8 buses altogether to
transport the entire class of around 400. They stayed at the 4-H conference center
in Bethesda.

They returned to the Mall that evening to see the WWII Memorial.
Each gold star represents 400 soldiers killed in WWII, and the gold stars that
were hung in windows to honor them.

A glimpse inside the luxury bus on the ride back. We retrieved
Roger from the school around 8:30pm Friday. They covered a lot
of ground in just 4 days' time.
