Dale Fowles' house

Dale lives in the house in Homer, OH that his parents (Uncle Art and Aunt Jean) bought years ago. He was organizing everything for an estate sale later in the summer.

Aunt Jean and Uncle Art (Grandma's brother).

We drove over with Grandma and Grandpa and had a chance to visit with Dale's sisters, Janette and Anne, who were in town to help wrap up their parents' estate.

The house has intriguing features, including this pulley to lift things to the upper floors.

There's a hand-operated elevator to get to the 3rd floor.

Barn

Edward Crawford's carpenter's chest. He's Glen's great-great-grandfather.

Aunt Jean collected china and had hoped to open a shop. The whole upper floor of the barn was covered with boxes of china.

Janette urged us to find a treasure or two to take home.

Uncle Roger and Glen met up with Jim Beamer and went over to Dale's house to visit and move a couple family heirlooms.

The carpenter's chest came home with us.
