Governor's Mansion

The Iowa Governor's Mansion, Terrace Hill, was the home of Frederick Marion Hubbell. It was donated to the State of Iowa in 1971 by his descendents.

The Hubbell Family Historical Society was privileged to have a catered dinner on the lawn, and a chance to tour the building. The Governor, Terry Branstad, was a gracious host.

Curiously, there's a Hubbell-Cooper connection here, as seen in the names of some of the portraits.
