SnowAlan's DC TripHikes |
The challenge this year was to blow bubbles at the the end, having gone through
at least 10 steps using a variety of modes of energy transfer, such as thermal, chemical, and acoustic,
not just mechanical.
Alan and Joe had melting ice dripping on a paper towel that then broke, releasing a lever, for one of
their steps. Another one was the dissolving of mentos tablets in soda at the end to produce
the desired bubbles.

We'd never seen it with quite this much water.
Side waterfalls popped into existence, too.
On the way back across Vaughn, we splashed through more water than we should have.
As we came out of the water approaching the park headquarters buildings, there were
the police, closing the road.
