Pizza for dinner!
fun with Apples-to-Apples
Thursday the group gathered at Mother's villa to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Roger graciously models a turkey hat, thanks to Steve.
Floyd Mauer joined us. He was one of Dad's housemates when he first moved to Washington, DC
in the early 50's. He continued to be a family friend, and then in an unexpected twist,
ended up living right across the street at Asbury.
Vanessa, by my request, brought over her hotwheels set for after-dinner entertainment.
We had more than adequate desserts: Floyd brought baklava, Wendy made coconut cream ramekins,
and we had chocolate cake and pumpkin and pecan pies.
Friday it was time to change the decor, put up a Christmas tree, and celebrate Christmas!
Wendy models her Pi-Day-of-the-Century T-shirt, in honor of Jenny & David's wedding
earlier in the year.
Nancy Wolfe joined us; what a treat for me. She and I had met when I started babysitting
for her children, and then became close friends.
Mother scores a hit with a car organizer for Glen -- something he'd already decided he wanted.

Surprise! All the Carballos got hot wheels from us for Christmas.
