Sunday afternoon some of us went on a whale-watching tour out of Ventura.

The crew spotted a floating mylar balloon. Since these are hazardous for marine wildlife,
they slowed down to fish it out of the water.

And then we encountered the large pod of dolphins, estimated at 800.
They swam with the boat for quite a while.
