Laurie organized a memorial service at Fortuna Funeral Home in Independence, OH, on February 3rd.
Dad died on January 27th, at Parma Hospital, after struggling with heart and lung difficulties,
and finally sepsis from an infection overwhelmed him. Mom was also at Parma, having broken
her hip in a fall on January 20th.

The next day, February 4th, Dad was laid to rest at Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights, OH.
Taps was played.
The flag was solemnly folded and presented to Mom.
John and Beth had rented a van with a ramp so Mom could attend these events despite the broken hip.
After the ceremony at Woodvale, the family gathered at Austin's Grill in Brecksville for lunch.
Gianna helped us feel a little better.
