Rest in Peace, Eloise Fowles Cooper

September 23rd, 1927 to October 11th, 2016

On October 2nd, Mom was seen to be severely dehydrated, so she was sent to Ahuja Hospital. Laurie, Glen, and Anne followed and stayed with her in the ER while tests were run. Meanwhile, Beth moved up her schedule and managed to arrive that evening.

October 4th: Mom is still at Ahuja Hospital. Dr. Dash recommended hospice, explaining that the vascular dementia had finally damaged the part of her brain that regulates appetite (she wasn't eating at all) and the ability to swallow.

So on October 5th, Mom was brought back to Vista Springs and Laurie asked Hospice of the Western Reserve to take over her care.

Beth stayed in town. She and Laurie spent hours upon hours with Mom.

Alan visits with Grandma. Glen, Anne, Jen, Joe, and Gianna also had a chance to be with her.

Mom passed away peacefully the night of October 11th.

We had visitation on October 19th.

Mom's friends from Vista Springs came: Evelyn, Betty, and Mary.

Gianna paused for a moment to 'sleep', just like GreatGrandma.

October 20th: Mom was laid to rest at Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights.

We gathered at Sentinel for lunch together.

Glen and I went back to Woodvale to take better pictures when it wasn't raining.

Rog's ashes are in the plot next to Mom and Dad.

The cemetery is a beautiful setting, especially with fall color.
