View of Sandusky Bay as we head west from CLE.

The Davis-Besse nuclear power plant east of Toledo.

An auspicious start -- our rental car was in spot 42!

David and Jenny drove up to hang out with us for the weekend.

Lisa was able to come for a bit longer, but she has a longer drive from Riverside, too.

Oscar and Gladys very graciously hosted us for the week, since Sarah and Chris are very limited in living area.

Nayla!

Alan gets a turn holding his niece.

Mini-golf.

Nayla is all set.

Fancy way to return the ball.

The guys figure out the solar-powered deck lights Glen had picked out as a host gift for Oscar.

a round of Fluxx

We introduced Oscar to Apples-to-Apples.

Glen and Anne passed St. Elizabeth's on morning walks. This is the Leons' home church and where Sarah and Chris were married.

We noted the construction going on - the church is being expanded.

Uncle Roger.

One of our meals at the Black Bear Diner.

California Poppy.

Rosemary grows here as a perennial, so their neighbor has impressive hedges of it. Smells delicious when walking by.

Glen and Chris are taking the cover off the microwave in an attempt to replace the appliance bulb.

Aunt Lisa is getting ready to leave on Sunday, April 3rd.

Black Bear Diner again. They make us comfortable.

Waiting for our flight home at SJC on Monday, April 4th. Glen dropped Anne and the boys at the curb with the luggage and went to return the rental car. We checked the bags and breezed through security since we'd luckily been given TSA-PRE on our boarding passes. Unfortunately, Glen didn't get the TSA-PRE status, so he had to wait. It shouldn't have been a problem except that it was spring break time and SJC only had one checkpoint station open. The line was 3 hours long. Glen finally jumped the line, got checked, and rushed to the gate. He got there just as his boarding number was up, so didn't even break stride getting on the plane. I'd thought I might have to fly home with the boys while Glen would be stuck finding a spot on a later flight.

Heading out over the sprawling Cisco buildings.

Typical interchange - this one is near the shopping area of McCarthy Ranch in Milpitas, and where Sarah and Chris's rehearsal dinner was held 2 years ago.
