Mother enjoys her 'breakfast sundae'.
Dr. Collins does last-minute checks and assessment before Mother's double-cataract surgery.
Mother's surgery was Tuesday. Wednesday she had to go back to the Kensington office
for a post-op check-up. Afterwards, I 'kidnapped' her and we went to the Silver Dollar Diner
on Rockville Pike for lunch.
Mother asked both Marilou and me to join her at this luncheon on Thursday for
Foundry UMC members at Asbury. It was a meeting with several of the
of the pastoral staff, including Dawn who would be leaving Foundry
soon for her next assignment. Very interesting to hear about some
of the projects the church is currently involved in.
Marilou, Mother's twice-a-week caregiver.
Friday, Mother and I decided to go shopping in Germantown. As a break in the middle,
we enjoyed lunch at Applebee's.
Meanwhile, Mother got out more of her Christmas decorations.
This is the olive-wood nativity that Dad brought back from Bethlehem.
And an Saturday it was time for me to head home and get back to my own
Christmas prep and regular routine.
