Anne's Trip to Gaithersburg

Glen crafts a picture frame from the ironwood tree we took down a couple years ago.

It goes perfectly with this print of the painting that hung over the sofa at his parents' home.

Alan and Anne were lucky to see this rainbow at the HS one afternoon.

The front yard oak tree is colorful this year.

The tulip poplar in the back was adversely affected by the drought at the end of the summer.

The patch of brown leaves is the tulip poplar, as seen from the front yard, over the roof.

It doesn't look healthy, sadly.

This isn't normal fall leaf-drop. We'll see if it has the reserves to come back in the spring.

Alan's latest surcoat.

Nice fall color. Note the pile of sawdust where a tree used to be (see the tree removal section).

Squirrel!

Glen and Roger took apart the piano, drilled out, sanded, and cleaned all the key mechanisms to get rid of the sticking problem, and put it back together. It was a major undertaking.

A buck wandered through the front yard.

Alan made and embroidered this scarf.

Alan painted this in art class.
