Cardboard Regatta

May 22nd - Brecksville Rec Center Pool

Students in BBHHS physics classes compete. Boats are to be made of only cardboard and duct tape. Groups are encouraged, but all members of the group must ride in the boat.


Alan decided to make a Viking Longship. He measured the available space in the van for transport to the Rec Center, and designed accordingly.

Sadly, it didn't have enough ballast and rode pretty high. So it tipped over and dumped Alan out.

Getting wet zapped any structural strength, so Alan relinguished it to the recycle pile.




The organizers had a fine-tuned salvage operation going.




Some groups were still applying duct tape while waiting their turn.
