Wednesday afternoon, Lisa drove us out to the Air Museum by March AFB.
Alan had found that they had an SR71 on display there.
There it was, the SR71, dominating the interior space.
Yes, there were a few other aircraft there, too.
Soviet banners, showing the different republics
Soviet cosmonaut posters.
Lisa and Alan tried out the flight simulators.
Fun with hats, and props.
Outside, they had a wide variety of aircraft on display. This is a row of
Russian Migs.
A very foreign pilot!
a B29
Many of these planes are now protected from roosting birds.
This area was set up to resemble a Vietnam military compound.
So many planes on display!
It was hot, as is frequently the case in Riverside, over 100F. They have a small tram to
take guests around outside, but it doesn't work in these temperatures, so we
strolled around on foot and tried not to overdo in the heat.
