Denville is just an hour's drive away from the Freys' vacation home in the Poconos. So we drove over on Sunday and had a great time visiting and playing.
John's parents, Libby and Herb, built this house in 1965.
Libby, John, and Beth were our hosts for the day. They had lunch
waiting for us when we arrived.
Private beach for the homeowners and guests.
Alan relaxes in the shade.
Roger relaxes on the water.
Glen and John got out the sailboard and assembled it.
Jenny and David relax on the floating dock.
Glen's up on the sailboard!
Jenny tried it out.
Success!

Alan decided to try the water, too.
Curious little fish at our feet.
So many pinecones! John says one branch broke off under the weight.
This spot is actually Libby's own property (not shared lake access), and the Freys' kayaks.
Alan watched these large birds circling -- vultures? buzzards?
pre-dinner hike along the Between The Lakes Road. There are 2 lakes with this
narrow bit of land separating them.
Lots of large rhodedendrons.
I just like this rock with its piney covering.
Bear!
It ignored us and ambled along across the road.
Beth and Libby made dinner for us, too.
We strolled back to the beach after dinner to watch the sunset.
