New Jersey Road Trip

We drove to NJ for an extended July 4th weekend. We also had the chance to visit the Freys' vacation house on the Lake that Sunday, since we were only an hour's drive away.

Approaching the Delaware Water Gap, where the Delaware River cuts through the Appalachian Mountains. It sits on the border between Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Monday: Jenny made a pear pie for the July 4th party, while Shelly prepped as much of the party food ahead of time as possible.

After lunch, David introduced us to downtown Denville and the Rockaway River.

Angel and Catherine are cousins of Shelly's who now live in New York. They came over for a couple days to help celebrate the 4th.

Still Monday -- Jane, Chris, and Jamie came over for dinner and games.

Tuesday, July 4th: Glen and Anne went for a neighborhood hike around one of the local lakes.
