Stan Hywet Mansion

Beth and Laurie invited me to join them in a tour of Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron. This estate was built by the Seiberling family in the early 1900's. F. A. Seiberling was one of the founders of Goodyear Tire & Rubber. Eventually, though, the estate was too expensive for the heirs to maintain, so they gifted it to Akron in the 1950's, and now the rest of us can enjoy seeing it.

We enjoyed a picnic lunch by the entrance/gatehouse.
